There is an explosion of service delivery blitz following the Clean and Safe City campaign as launched by Executive Mayor in 2011 and re-launched recently on the 13th January 2017, with the objective to ensuring safety and cleanliness for all residents of Rustenburg, as it is carried out every day in all Wards of the Municipality.

The programme, inter alia, includes cleaning of manholes, parks, cemeteries, catch pits, storm water channels, patching of potholes, grass cutting, education and awareness on illegal dumping and littering, war on water leaks, inspection in loco to bus and taxi ranks, cemeteries, brothels and suspicious taverns.

“We remain resolute and focused on realising our vision of becoming world class city. We cannot realise that if we do not get the basics right. We have resolved to get back to the basics by ensuring that our city is clean, safe and secure for all residents, so that they can enjoy high quality of life, remarked Executive Mayor, Cllr Mpho Khunou, during the bltiz.
