Inadequate planning and inaccurate data capturing and analysis relating to water, sanitation, waste management and related infrastructure will be a thing of the past after the Rustenburg Local Municipality launched the new service delivery digital system, namely; Infrastructure Management Solutions (IMQS), on the 30th January 207, here at the Rustenburg Civic Centre.
“This modern-day digital system will go a long indeed to assist the municipality to discharge its mandate of service delivery effectively and efficiently. We will now through this system be able to budget, establish, maintain, upgrade and operate physical infrastructure assets. We will be able to optimize energy resources and plan proactively for existing and future energy demands, whilst we plan and manage infrastructure projects with excellence by gaining control over expenditure and monitoring costs,” said Acting-Municipal Manager, Mr Gordon Molokwane, during the launch ceremony.
“The introduction of this modern digital system, IMQS, comes as a big relief to us as we are now in a better position to develop plans to ensure efficient, affordable, economical and sustainable provision of water and sanitation services, as well as waste and related infrastructure, thus ensuring quality and timeous service delivery to our residents, as we together continue to move Rustenburg forward,” remarked Executive Mayor, Cllr Mpho Khunou, during the launch.
