Following the Press Conference that was held on Tuesday, 23rd January 2018 with the executive Mayor of Rustenburg Cllr Mpho Khunou, the municipality undertook to do everything in its power to ensure the safety of its community and rid the city of drug and human trafficking, notwithstanding any other illegal activities.
The municipality in partnership with the South African Police Service (SAPS) had today embarked on a successful Safe and Clean City operation in the city, in which some of the illegal schools believed to be the haven of illegal activities and drug trafficking were closed and others received a fine for noncompliance with municipal bylaws. We are going to continue with these operations until Rustenburg becomes completely free of all illegal activities.
The message should be fully conveyed to criminal elements in Rustenburg that they are not welcome.
