The Southern African Transport Conference (SATC) is the longest running transport conference in the region. The SATC has always served as a forum to debate current transport related issues, bringing on board various experts to unearth different dynamics faced by provincial and municipal transport departments.
Our Participation:
As the Roads and Transport Directorate, we would like to gain more knowledge on what the current trends are in the transport industry and use the valued information gathered from the conference to enhance our current Yarona™ project. We would also like to educate and showcase to other delegates from across the country, about our project by exhibiting at the conference. This exhibition is providing information on the current project time lines and milestones. This exhibition will show that Rustenburg is a world class city, that is working towards reaching the standard of various metros of the country in terms of transportation.
The Roads and Transport Directorate has participated in the Southern African Transport Conference (SATC) over the years, and this year it is running from the 10th to the 13th of July 2017, at the CSIR International Convention Centre, Pretoria.
All the unit managers, the Director and the MMC will be participating in the conference and have identified sessions within the conference that are areas of interest in terms of our key performance areas as well as job descriptions. The week will be a productive one, as there are speakers from different disciplines in the transport industry.
