The “Winter warmth project”, a collaborative effort between the Rustenburg Local Municipality and Non-Governmental Organisations ( NGO’s ) from the Muslim community around Rustenburg, was taken to an even higher level on the 15th May 2013, at the civic centre, when more than 1000 blankets were received by Executive Mayor, Cllr Mpho Khunou, for a variety of charity cases around Rustenburg.

The Rustenburg Local Municipality hereby informs residents of Million Dollar Boitekong x1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 22, 23, Ramochana including Correctional Services of the unplanned water supply interruption on 15th May 2013. The interruption is anticipated to last until 16th May 2013, 5:00am. This is due to water supply problems experienced from Vaalkop system which supplies water to Boitekong extensions including other areas. During this period consumers will experience low water pressure or have no water at all.
